FLEGT - Certified

Ella Maison has a partnership with the organisation FLEGT since 2018.

FLEGT stands for Forest Law Enforcement, Governance and Trade. 

The EU published the EU FLEGT Action Plan in 2003. The action plan aims to reduce illegal logging by enhancing the sustainability and legality of forest management, improving forest governance and promoting trade in legally produced timber.

FLEGT permits are documents issued by timber-producing countries that have certified a voluntary partnership agreement with the EU. Permits confirm that the timber or timber products fully comply with the relevant legislation of the country of export.
